Getting back on track with blogging
I've said it before and I'm sure I will say it again, let's get back on track with this blog!
Every time I think I am ready to tackle blogging, I find my interest leaning elsewhere to either design projects, concepts or outside personal interests. So I've made it a goal of mine to blog AT LEAST once a week with important information to help website owners and their websites. The content will be written by me personally.
In addition, I'll be bringing in content from outside sources that I've read and find useful. I'm not one to re-invent the wheel so if I find good information, I'll share it!
I'll continue to update the blog with recent project completions and hope to put forth a better effort at blogging this year. As always, you can find us on Twitter or Facebook with the latest info.

Working Weekends
Last weekend I managed to not work until late Sunday when I caught up on some e-mails and accounting work. But this weekend came along and inspiration hit and before I knew it, I had worked 4 hours last night on a new concept for a client. It helps me get a jump start ahead for the week, but instead, why didn't I just grab a book and relax on the couch or watch a movie instead?
A Freelancer’s Cancellation Experience
The other day I blogged about my experience on Twitter and getting involved in a discussion about the cancellation of a web design contract. The originator of the discussion has blogged about the experience as well AND provided some great tips and insight on how to hand such situations.
Stop by and check out Andrew Turner's blog Freelance Experience #01 - Cancellation. Great synopsis of the situation and how he handled it as well as commenting on the advice and tips received in the process while discussing on Twitter.
New Design Package Pricing
I have come to realize recently that a strong majority of clients who come to me for websites already have a logo. For an extended period of time, it seemed I was always creating a new logo for a client or having a logo created by one of my graphic design partners. But times have changed and my client base has shifted. Now I have seen an upturn of clients who already have a logo and want a website built around that logo.
To that end, I have altered pricing for my Website packages, Ecommerce packages and DIY Template packages to reflect building your website without the need for a design of a new logo. The logo design will be an optional service that can be added to your package. Prices for a new logo will begin at $150.00 for 1 concept with 3 revisions.
I hope this will better meet the needs of my clients who like to know upfront their costs without having to submit for a FREE No obligation quote. As always, all clients have the option of creating my Build Your Own package for your exact needs.
